STAGE PLAN

The stage plan is the overview of the performance section, lighting features, power outlets, entrances and exits. A stage plan is used to convey information that is needed for event to go off without a hitch (Bowdin et al, 2012). Bowdin et al (2012) further illustrates a stage manager is required when dealing with large events and stage manager controls the performances and signaling cues that they happen accordingly. This was dividend at the homecoming festival. Homecoming festival is an annual event, which takes place in Mahalapye on December 24^th. This festival showcases hosts of Dj’s and musicians.

Looking at the management team at hand, event manager took the democratic management style when dealing with his team. This management style enabled the stage manager to voice what she thought would suit the event better, meaning the planning stages of the event run smoothly. The democratic leadership style is a shared style of running a team, ideas are communicated freely and all members of the group are heard (leadership toolbox, 2008).

The system theory utilized was effective due to duty coordination and delegation working well and resulting in event’s goal being reached. The system theory enabled the manager to know which employee suited which duty.
